This guide will help you in designing a critical illness insurance case in LDA

Accessing the Critical Illness Design Page

To start designing a critical illness case, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account on the platform.
  2. From the home dashboard page, click on the "Add New Case" option.

Adding a New Client

You can either create a new client or use an existing one from your "Manage Clients" section. 

Accessing the Critical Illness Design Page

Once you've added a client, you will be brought to the "Design Case" page. On this page, you'll notice the "Whole Life" icon on the right, and you can add critical illness insurance by following these steps.

Adding Critical Illness Insurance

  1. Click the "Plus Critical Illness" option. This will take you to the plan specifications page.
  2. Note that this page is slightly different from the one for life insurance, as it includes an additional filter for return of premium products.
  3. Select whether you want to include return of premium (ROP) products in your survey, exclude them, or only show products with an ROP rider. For this example, choose "Only Return on Premium Options."

Set the benefit amount (e.g., $100,000) and term length (e.g., T75).

Selecting an Insurance Carrier

Under the "Company Filter" option, choose your preferred insurance carrier or carriers.

Searching for Quotes

Click "Search Rates" to see the results listed from least to most expensive. You can explore different options and select the one that suits your client's needs.

Adding the Chosen Plan to the Case

Once you've found a plan that matches your client's requirements, click "Add to Case." This will bring the critical illness plan into your design case page, where you can view it along with other products.

Using Return of Premium (ROP) Rider

If you want to compare how the ROP rider accumulates over time, you can select "Critical Illness" under the manual section. This will allow you to import data from a spreadsheet, which you can generate from the carrier's illustration software.

Here's how to use the ROP rider:

  1. Choose "Critical Illness" under the manual section. 
  2. Customize the name and add a description for the specific plan you're looking to use.
  3. Click "Paste Spreadsheet Data" to bring in the relevant data from your spreadsheet.

Importing Data from a Spreadsheet

From the carrier's illustration software, generate the spreadsheet with the required data, such as premium amounts, ROP rider details, and insurance benefit values. Copy and paste these values into the respective columns on the platform.

Completing the Design Case

After pasting the spreadsheet data, you'll see the plan in your design case. You can edit the plan's name to match the carrier and product type and add a description if desired.

Generating a Report

To compare the critical illness insurance options, use the "Report Concept" for a critical illness insurance case. This report will pre-select the best page options to show critical illness insurance.

  1. Generate the report and review the results. The report will be branded with your company's logo and colors.
