Acting on Opportunities

In LDA there are 2 ways to get opportunities from your inforce block of business, proactively view them or to act on opportunity notifications. This guide will show you how to act on both types of opportunities.

Proactive Opportunity View

To proactively view opportunities using LDA notifications, follow these steps:

Access the Manage Client Section

Navigate to the "Manage Client" section to see your client listing and more information about their insurance policies.

Client Listing

In the client listing, you can find details about your clients and their insurance policies. Please refer to the "Client and Policy Management" video for a more in-depth guide on navigating this section.

Use Case Opportunity Filters

In the "Manage Client" section, you'll find case opportunity filters. These filters help you identify immediate opportunities within your insurance block. There are several filters available:
a. Term 10 Conversion: Select this filter to find Term 10 policies that were issued after today's date 10 years ago.
b. Term 20 Conversion: Similar to Term 10, this filter helps you find Term 20 policies issued after today's date 20 years ago.
c. Term 10 Swap: This option is for Term 10 policies approaching the fifth year anniversary, where some insurance carriers offer early exchange options. Ensure you check your product knowledge for carrier-specific details.
d. Overdue Filters: These filters display policies that have gone beyond the 10th year or 20th year anniversary.

Identify Opportunities

Review the opportunities that appear based on the selected filter. The top option represents the earliest opportunity, and subsequent options follow in chronological order based on policy issue dates.

Act on Opportunities

Once you've identified an opportunity, select the "View" icon located on the left-hand side of the Manage Client section. This will take you to the client's profile.

Start a New Design Case

In the client's profile, use the "New Case" icon to create a new design case for the client. This case will incorporate the identified opportunity.

Inforce Policy

Use the "Plus Inforce Policy" option to add the identified policy to the case. Confirm the product type and save. The policy information will be integrated into the design case.

Verify the Term Length

Select +Inforce Policy to add an existing policy that belongs to the client and select the Policy Number. Once selected, LDA will ask that you select the term length of the clients policy to verify and format the data into the presentation.

Complete the Analysis

Utilize the integrated policy information to compare it with other options using the Life Guide integration or a spreadsheet. Ensure you calculate the client's insurance needs using the insurance needs analysis built into LDA.

Reactive Opportunity View

To reactively view opportunities using LDA notifications, follow these steps:

Access Notifications

Go to the "Welcome" dropdown menu, select your name, and choose the "Notifications" option, which is the second-to-last option in the dropdown.

View Notifications

In the Notifications page, you can see all immediate notifications provided by LDA. Use the "Show All" option to filter notifications by type.

Select Opportunity Type

Click on a notification type, such as "Term 10 Conversion," to view all relevant notifications for that opportunity type.
