Instructions on how to upload client leads to HubSpot
- From the ticket attachment, edit the Excel file provided.
- Make sure you remove the unnecessary data and format the proper data.
- Make sure to have headers like “First” & “Last” names, emails, addresses, job title etc.
- The headers used depend on the information given that is useful for display.
1. Log in to HubSpot.
2. Locate on the left-hand side the navigation side bar and click on “CRM”.
Next click on “Contacts”
3. In the top right of the page hit the “Import” button
4. Next select the “Import a file” button.
5. Hit “Start import” the button to continue.
6. Next select the “Contacts” box
7. Hit “Next” at the bottom of the page.
8. Drag and drop the updated Excel file into the contact’s grey box.
9. Don’t need to change anything on that page.
10. Hit “Next” at the bottom of the page.
11. You can make manual adjustments for headers by selecting the drop-down menu located under "HubSpot Property".
12. Make sure all the column headers are matching correctly.
Look for doubles (names) because it will skip the row (doesn’t work)
Hit “Next”
13. Edit the import name title by removing extensions like “.xlsx” (cleans up the name so it can be easier to search)
14. Check off the box “Create a list from this import”.
15. Locate the “Select the legal basis for processing a contacts data” drop-down menu.
Select “Legitimate Interest – Leads”.
16. Make sure the check box “Set these contacts as marketing contacts” unchecked because they didn’t give permission.
17. Hit the “Finish Import” button at the bottom of the page.
